Here are a few highlights:
Ben is all about making Jiffy Pop.
A visit from a local wilderness guide
Playing lots and lots of games
Ben absolutely loved helping Kelly with the cooking.
Skimming the creek to find bug varieties
A quick trip into town (Ben was not happy about leaving the campground!)
Ladderball tournament
Hanging out with the kiddos from the next site over
... and, of course, s'mores!
It really was a beautiful place, and it was so nice for all of us to completely unplug from technology and spend time together. We took several hikes and found two Geocaches, and we played more games than I can count. All in all, it was a success for our birthday boy's special wish!
