Before going to Colonial Williamsburg, we spent a few days with the Cherrys in North Carolina, where we celebrated Nolan's 10th birthday. When he first heard that we would be gone for the actual day of his birthday, he was not pleased, even though he knew he would have a birthday party with kids once we got home. Thankfully, the Cherrys made quite the big deal of Nolan turning 10, and they allowed him to call all the shots for a couple days, which included Red Robin, video games, a nature walk, geocaching, Waffle House, a cake, and multiple flavors of ice cream. Thank you, Sissy and Brother, for making the experience so special for him! :)
