proud moment

 Last weekend, Nolan had another piano recital, and he was prepared and eager to play his two songs. Unfortunately, things didn't go well and whether it was nerves or the different piano or whatever, he froze up several times and hit many sour notes along the way.  It was hard to watch him struggle, but we were so proud of him for sticking with it and finishing the songs! He was clearly distressed and yet he handled the situation with poise and grit. Afterward, Nolan simply said, "I wish I had another chance to play" and then seemed ready to move on. I sure could learn a lot from this boy!
