No, our first attempt at hatching our own chickens did not work out. Our best guess is that our thermometer was running a bit hot, but it could have been a number of things. In any case, we decided that after all the effort and energy we put into this project, we're not ready to give up the dream! We've changed one of our variables (the type of incubator) and now we're starting the process all over again, with Nolan in charge of the project this time. And so, the egg turning and humidity monitoring begins again. Wish us luck!

We just had a staff development and the classroom we visited had one...I really want to try this!
