Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!

 Given Mike's roots, it seemed a fitting Father's Day outing to venture into San Pedro for the day. So fun! We relaxed at the main Pt. Fermin park, soaked up the culture and the distinct breeze, and toured the historic lighthouse. Truly, it was a wonderful family day. When Mike and I were dating, we spent so much time in this area, and it really is such a unique place. Now that we know how much the boys love it (and since the USS Iowa battleship will be opening to the public next month), I definitely see us planning more fun afternoons here.

After our windy adventure, we had a wonderful Father's Day dinner with Mom, Andy, Nana and Burl. The boys were over the moon with the celebratory nature of the day, and, as a bonus, they were exhausted enough at the end of it to fall asleep in a timely manner.
A win-win, for sure!
