bath time chatter

Here is a brief excerpt from my conversation with Nolan during his bath time this evening:

Me: Hey, Pirate Nolan, are you ready for a rinse?
Nolan: Actually, I'm not a pirate. Ben's a pirate. I'm a doctor.
Me: Oh. Okay. So you're a doctor, like Papou?
Nolan: No.
Me: Because you know Papou is a doctor, right?
Nolan: Yeah, I know.
Me: So you're just a different kind of doctor than Papou?
Nolan: Yep.
Me: Okay, so what kind of doctor are you?
Nolan: Well, Mom. . . I'm a PRETEND doctor.
